THE TSAR’S WINE
Our House’s most famous wine was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve the House’s best cuvée for him every year. He was particularly fond of the House’s wine. To distinguish this cuvée, this exceptional champagne came in a flat-bottomed, transparent lead-crystal bottle. The new brand was named after this precious material, which is particularly transparent and luminous.

Vinification: 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay
Dosage: 7.5 g/L
It has a golden yellow color, with glittering reflections, with an extremely lively effervescence, almost noisy due to its dynamism!
Rich and complex bouquet that reveals aromas of fruits acidic and candied, citrus notes, where white flower, toasted hazelnut and vanilla are mixed. With aeration, the bouquet is enriched with sweet notes of pastry and smoked from the refinement in the bottle.
The incredible tension and aromatic precision are perfectly crafted. The attack is powerful, elegant and concentrated, revealing a silky and enveloping structure.
