This Champagne "La Grande Dame" by Veuve Clicquot is the undisputed symbol of the prestigious cellar. The Maison was born more than 250 years ago with Francois Clicquot. His wife Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, widowed at 27, took over the cellar and expanded and perfected her husband's project, earning herself the name of Grande Dame of Champagne. This memorable label was launched in 1972 with the 1962 vintage, in honor of the 200th anniversary of its foundation.

"La Grande Dame" is certainly unique and in fact in the last 50 years only 18 cuvées have been produced. It is born only in the best vintages chosen by the chef de cave and is obtained from 8% Chardonnay and 92% Pinot Noir.
The long refinement of almost 10 years in the chalk cellars allows it to reach its full expressive maturity and to remain for a long time.
At sight it has a gold color with golden and luminous reflections; the perlage is elegant and persistent.
The nose initially distinguishes mineral and citrus notes; once opened, it has notes of dried fruits, ripe white fruits and subtle notes of brioche bread and vanilla.
On the palate it is creamy, full and dry, with evident notes of yellow, red and citrus fruits.
This Champagne is fresh and mineral, creating a perfect balance between complexity, structure and power.
Veuve Clicquot's motto is "one quality, the best", this Champagne embodies it perfectly.
